Our Doctor is CQC registered and the joint injections are performed using a state of the art ultrasound machine to guide the injections accurately and safely.

Who might need a joint injection?
Our Nottingham and Nottinghamshire patients might benefit from a joint injection if they have a painful or swollen knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, hand or wrist. These can be caused by conditions such as (but not exclusive to):
- Osteoarthritis (knee, hip, feet and hands)
- Tennis or Golfer’s elbow
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Shoulder problems such as frozen shoulder or rotator cuff injuries
- Hip pain (bursitis)

Free Initial Consultation
The doctor will examine you and advise you on the best course of action. You can ask the Doctor any questions you may have regarding injections. You can then choose to go ahead and have the injection at the same appointment or take time to consider. The doctor will sometimes advise a course of treatment with both drugs for maximum effect.

If you go ahead with an injection during the appointment, there will be no consultation fee, just the injection fee.
Corticosteroid Injection
A corticosteroid (or ‘cortisone’) is an anti-inflammatory medicine, which can be injected directly into the tissues or structures that are causing your symptoms
Corticosteroid - 1 Joint: £280.
Corticosteroid - 2 Joints (at the same appointment): £500.

Hyaloronic Joint Pain Injections - Ostenil Plus
OSTENIL® PLUS is a single injection treatment of hyaluronic acid to provide lasting pain relief for those suffering with pain from osteoarthritis.
Ostenil Plus - 1 Joint: £350.
Ostenil Plus - 2 Joints (at the same appointment): £650.
Doctor prescribed. This includes examination, consultation, and post- injection advice.

Our Doctor can combine Ostenil Plus and Corticosteroid treatments for a greater effect. He will advise you if this is something which may benefit you.
