What is Therapist Led Pilates?
Pilates is a form of low impact conditioning exercise that strengthens the core muscles of the body. This includes the stomach, hips, back, neck and upper body. Pilates also improves general flexibility, promotes good postural alignment and helps you feel relaxed and refreshed after every class.
Health professionals are therefore increasingly recommending Pilates as a treatment to help ease and prevent muscular ache and pains, and improve postural awareness. Classes are now being led by physiotherapists and sports therapists.
What is the format of the class?
It is a small class (6 people) taking place at the gym in the Nottingham Sports Injury Clinic, which comprises of a full warm up, pilates exercises and a cool down section. The class is an hour long. All the exercises will be modified to suit all levels, individual needs and to help your injury.
Mon 12.45pm-1.45pm, 6pm-7pm
Tues 6pm-7pm and 7pm-8pm
Wed 7pm-8pm
Thursday 7pm-8pm.
We also offer 1:1 pilates with Nicole Butterfield and Eleanor Miller which costs £59 for 60 mins and these are available on a Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. These classes are great if you want to build up some confidence before attending a group class or want a more specific Pilates session tailored to your needs.

Pilates Class Charges
£72 for 6 sessions
Please contact us if you are interested in a class and to check if there are any spaces, if not we can put you onto the waiting list of your desired class.
Is the class suitable for me?
Pilates is suitable for all ages, abilities and conditions but it is not suitable if you are in high levels of pain or if you are unable to get on and off the floor. If you are unable to get on and off the floor a 1:1 Pilates session may be more suitable as we will be able to use the plinths in the treatment rooms. A Pilates Assessment will enable us to confirm your suitability as well.
