Helen Tomlinson founded Nottingham Sports Injury Clinic in 1982 and since then we have been treating patients for a range of problems including back and neck pain, sports injuries, arthritis, sprains and strains. The PhysioNeeds group, of which Nottingham Sports Injury Clinic is the flagship practice, now includes five clinics, with family members involved in both hands-on treatment and managment roles.
Our patients range in age from 3 to 93 with various life related injury problems.
Due to the current situation we have decided to do a ‘Virtual Physio-Led Pilates’ video of the class (1 hour long) which is suitable for beginners and those more advanced. Each exercise will be shown in 2/3 different levels so you can pick the level most suited to you.
All of our physiotherapy clinics at Woodthorpe, East Bridgford, Cotgrave, West Bridgford, and East Leake have facilities to carry out a wide range of treatments and are prominently positioned with convenient parking.
Our Mansfield Road clinic boasts an extensive rehabilitation facility that includes several private treatment rooms and a gymnasium. Here we supervise patients' individual exercise programmes during treatment and also run back care classes, pilates classes and group exercise sessions.
You do not need a referral from your GP for physiotherapy but if you wish to claim on medical insurance, please check with them before treatment. The clinic will usually see you within 24 hours as “early treatment speeds recovery”. At this time the therapist will carry out a detailed assessment followed up by a diagnosis, treatment plan and relevant treatment / advice.
Our fees are very competitive and we have recognition by all the major health insurers. We operate a discount scheme for sports clubs with no registration fee. We are always happy to advise sports clubs on injury prevention and warm up exercise regimes. We can deal direct with your insurance company for the payment of fees. We accept payment after each session by cheque, cash, switch, delta and all major credit cards.
Our dedicated physiotherapy and sports injury team is amongst the most experienced in Nottingham. With the back up of our advanced rehabilitation and exercise gym our physiotherapists not only treat all common conditions and complaints but they can also recommend and supervise follow up exercise for greater impact and faster recovery times.
Physiotherapists at Nottingham Sports Injury Clinic are trained to be very 'hands on' using manual therapy techniques. These techniques are better for quality tissue healing. Our facilities are superior to most other practices with an onsite gym for rehabilitation and a range of tools, aids and electrotherapy equipment for physiotherapy.
We are open Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 8.00 pm and on Saturday mornings.
